This is my first attempt at blogging — so I guess that makes me a virgin blogger.
Motivation that stimulates one to undertake a project like Pet Club PCR can be comprised of various things but mine began with:
That’s 3 Goldens, 1 Boxer, 1 big Black Lab, 1 big black cat, and 1 scrawny, skinny cat. They were all part of our family and all had to be put down because of cancer. When I say that these animals were all part of our family I am not joking. They had the best vet care we could find, much of it at the University of Minnesota Vet Hospital. Just the same, they all still died from cancer. Each death was a very significant loss for my family. We love our pets!
Then, I read a newspaper article that said the average life of a Golden Retriever used to be 17 years but now is closer to 12 years. I was stunned! How could this be? Then, talking with a young acquaintance at the gym, he informed me about the benefits of medical marijuana and that CBD oil (cannabidiol) has become popular for pets. He also explained that CBD worked for humans in certain circumstances (which is me) and that he himself was taking it and here’s where I could buy it. I immediately went and procured some CBD for myself and began using it. But more on that in a later blog entry.
About that time Minnesota, my state of residence, was debating the licensing of medical marijuana. This is a state that until recently still had those things referred to as “blue laws”. So, sensing a big thing on the horizon, I made two fact finding trips to Colorado. I learned a lot, lined up a grower and other resources, and returned to Minnesota. And as Paul Harvey would say, (for you older folks) “Stay tuned for the rest of the story”.
